I have been married in Taiwan for five years now! It took me two years an three flights to Hong Kong and three health examinations till I finally was granted a work permit. But never ever anybody here wants to deal with my work permit, pay my insurance tax retirement insurance etc. Do I have rights here? Or does everyone just use me like an illegal immigrant who can be punished anytime at will? I have a house and money but non in my name. I can have a job every day but not legally. What to do? Do you know anyone who ever got work using this work permit? And why can't I work in a kindergarten and stamp my card like all those other employees much younger than me and actually less education? I don't get it. Am I missing something here? The ministry of education sends out letters threatening kindergartens to be fined for giving me a job? What is that here? How about No more Chinese with green card in American kindergartens or is that the case?
